A 10-minute automation you can try today

A 10-minute automation you can try today

You do not need a big project to feel what automation can do. Start with one small, repeated task and give yourself ten minutes.

Find the candidate

Look for a message you send almost every day: a status update, a reminder, a confirmation or a thank-you. If you have written it more than five times, it is a candidate.

Three ways to automate it

  1. Save a template. The simplest fix. One click inserts the standard text.
  2. Schedule it. If it is sent at the same time each week, let your email tool send it.
  3. Trigger it. Use a workflow tool so the message sends when something happens, such as a form being submitted.

Keep it human

Add one personal line for each recipient. Automation should remove repetition, not warmth.

Then repeat

Once the first one works, make a list of five more. Small wins build the confidence and the evidence you need for larger improvements.
