Process automation for e-commerce operations
E-commerce suits automation because the events are clear: an order arrives, stock changes, a parcel moves. The work is deciding what happens when the answer is not yes.
What to automate, in order of payback
- Order to warehouse. Paid orders are sent to the pick list or 3PL automatically, with risky orders held for review.
- Stock updates. One source of truth, with changes pushed to every channel. Overselling is cheaper to prevent than to apologise for.
- Tracking messages. Customers receive the tracking link at dispatch and an update if the courier flags a delay. Whatever you cut, keep this one: it removes most where-is-my-order contacts.
- Returns. A self-service form that issues the label, updates stock on receipt and triggers the refund after inspection.
What stays with people
Fraud review above a threshold, partial-stock decisions on high-value orders and goodwill gestures. Automation prepares the case and the options, and a person chooses. The map marks these as manual steps for that reason.

Common questions
Which platforms do you work with?
Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento are common, plus marketplace and courier integrations. If a platform has webhooks or an API we can usually connect it. We confirm this in the free review.
